I don't have enough words to emphasize what an amazing place this is!!! We came to Aruba for the first time three years ago and stayed at Sunset Beach Studios for the length of our stay (and loved it). This year we had a chance to return to Aruba because my parents wanted to explore the island. They booked their stay with a very big and well known hotel chain and wanted us to stay with them. I only mention this because three years ago I knew Sunset Beach was special but this year after spending some time with my parents at their hotel and then returning for one night at Sunset Beach I got such a dramatic illustration of how much better and authentic Sunset Beach Studios is compared to the big chains you will find just down the road. Sunset Beach Studios only has a handful of rooms, the property is small and intimate. The place is the epitome of peacefulness. Something I noticed very quickly at the outset of our vacation was that the big hotel was built with no respect for or appreciation of the constant breeze in Aruba. We fought the breeze in the parking lot and fought the breeze at the pool. I don't know if it was intentional or not but Sunset Beach seems to have been built to embrace the constant breeze. There is a sitting area with a table by one of the entryways and it is so relaxing just to sit there and let the breeze cool you off while you look at the ocean across the way...or let the breeze cool you off while you're sunning yourself on one of the lounges near the pool. The courtyard is shaded and has flowering trees and vines of flowers hanging off of the rooftops, it's beautiful! The rooms have a small kitchen space with a refrigerator and microwave oven as well as a portable hotplate/stovetop. The rooms are simple and clean and spacious and there is a binder with tons of information and recommendations for things to do around the island. Three years ago when we came here I thought that being so close to a main road would mean that we would hear cars and traffic constantly but you don't! It is so quiet at this place! It's perfect. Sunset Beach Studios is so nice. If you want to enjoy a quiet peaceful island holiday this is the absolute best option. I will never consider staying at a different place in Aruba; I've experienced simple perfection and that is really all I want.

This is a very nice place to relax and a great base to explore the island. Rent a Jeep and have fun poking around the dunes and back country. Clean, comfortable, and fairly inexpensive. I will be back.

Very comfortable rooms right on the beach! I will never go anywhere else when I come back to Aruba. I highly recommend staying here. This place is perfect for a group of people as there is one large room and more smaller rooms. It is a great place for a family trip or a friend trip. The view is to die for and the staff is great to talk to. It is quiet but still close to the wonderful beaches.

This was my first trip to Aruba. I am very picky about the places we stay when traveling. Sunset Beach was perfect for us. We had 2 other couples with us and this was the perfect situation for all of us. There is a beautiful hut that seats at least 10 people with a huge table to have coffee, cocktails, or just converse at. This area over looks the pool and the ocean. You can also sit in the hot tub and see the ocean. The property is immaculate, beautiful garden areas. The rooms are darling and clean with a small kitchen fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans, etc. (we chose to eat out most the time.) The property is across the street from the ocean and you can watch some of the best kite surfing in the world on your front porch. We rented a jeep and did some 4 wheeling on the rougher side of the island (which was awesome). Very close drive to all the main beaches. The staff was amazing and very helpful. Perfect location, quite, clean, the staff is wonderful! We will be coming back to Sunset Beach in Aruba!!!

This is now my 3rd trip to Aruba and my first visit to this property. I will return. Pros: best location, great value, close to ocean (like 30/50 steps depending on ur stride), extremely accommodating hosts, friendly fun hosts, felt safe & secure. Cons: had to go home & re-enter real world

This was our third time visiting Aruba and staying at Sunset Beach Studios. After vacationing with family for the past 25 years, we decided to make this adventure just the two of us. What a perfect decision!!! This small, intimate resort was the perfect choice to get away to relax and enjoy the island. JP and Eve, as well as Jackie and the entire staff have always gone above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, and our recent visit was no exception. SBS is a beautiful slice of paradise located close to restaurants, shopping, beaches, etc., absolutely anything and everything you'd like to do, as well as reasonably priced. Neither myself or my husband want to wait a year to go back to this beautiful place and plan to contact the Studios soon and look into securing a reservation for September or October (possibly for 2 weeks this time) If you're looking for a quiet, beautiful and relaxing location to vacation, our opinion is you'll not be disappointed by choosing and staying at Sunset Beach Studios!!!!

If you are looking for a place without a lot of tourists, this is for you. The staff was really nice and helpful and helped us with tips on places to eat and visit on the island. It's close to the more natural beaches on the island and is just a walk across the street to the beach. It's nothing fancy but it's all in the type of vacation you are looking for. If your looking for a basic, clean and friendly place close to the beach, this is it.

This charming quiet piece of paradise created by JP and Eve has captured our hearts. Away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds, just feet away from ocean sunsets. Staff Jackie and Suzie are available to assist with anything from reservations to snorkeling equipment. They are experts on the island. Edna, Juliana, and Marites took care of us as family. This place represents Aruban culture - One Happy Island. It was our third year there and we already have reservations for 2018. Amazing people, amazing place and amazing vacation.

We visited Sunset Beach Studios in March 2017 for the first time and enjoyed our stay so much that we are looking into going again! The office staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the grounds & cleaning staff were always friendly and kept the grounds and our studio neat and tidy. I found that Sunset Staff were very accommodating especially when our flight to the island was cancelled and we had to arrange for different dates. Thank you! You made our stay hassle free, relaxing and enjoyable! So ~ if you are looking for a place to get away from it all, but not too far away from all kinds of activities... this is the place. Enjoy!

We stayed at Sunset Beach Studios four years ago and before deciding to return we checked for availability here as we really didn't want to stay anywhere else. Everyone on staff is friendly, helpful and always make you feel welcome and takes time to answer questions. Lots of the guests stay for a month or more and so happy hour in the gazebo around 5 pm, followed by a walk across the street to check out the nightly spectacle of sunset is a tradition. We love the location....close to everything, not too close to anything loud or glitzy. Sometimes when you return to a place it doesn't live up to what it was before. Sunset Studios present themselves exactly as they are and for a second time exceeded our expectations. We will be back.

Wonderful place to stay! Everyone....the staff and other guests were so open and welcoming! My husband and I spent 1 week in the high rises and 11 days at Sunset Beach, we prefer the quaint atmosphere of our studio by Malmok Beach. Eve and JP are " the best". Can't wait til next year!

I spent two splendid weeks at Aruba Sunset Beach Studios. The studios are arranged around a jewel of a garden that also contains a pool and a hot tub. There are loungers to relax in the sun or you can hang out in the shade of your own small deck. The beach is across the street (but bring your water shoes for this one) or walk/drive a half-mile to sandy Boca Catalina Beach, with its excellent snorkeling. Eagle and Arashi beaches are also quite close by. The studios have everything you'll need and are very clean and very quiet. The owners and staff are sweethearts and the other guests made a solo traveler feel at home. What a heavenly vacation!

This was the best vacation ever. The owners and staff are the nicest group of people I've ever met on any vacation. The other guests were equally as nice and friendly. The atmosphere at this quiet and relaxing home away from home reminded us why island living is the best. We had an ocean view studio and enjoyed coffee on the patio every morning. The sunsets were stellar......Can't wait to go back.

Vic and I think about our stay at Sunset Beach in February often. We talk about our comfy room, our meals on our front porch, the ocean view, the happy hours and the breathtaking sunsets. But none of this compares to the sense of community, family and the many friendships that were formed during our stay. Thank you Eve and J.P. for the memories. We will be back again, and again, and again.

My husband and I spent four nights at the Aruba Sunset Beach Studios. It was a very peaceful, clean and comfortable. The beds were great, room was clean. Even though they have AC if the windows are open you get a nice cross breeze in the room. I have already recommended the studios to folks back home. Jackie at the front desk was so nice and wanted to make sure we knew about the island and what it had to offer. She went above and beyond to make sure your stay was good.

I have been to so many places on the planet but this particular hotel is my personal paradise! It's Aruba totally unexpected. Intimate, relaxing, out of the crowd but across from the beach. This hotel is right past the big main hotels on the main street. The staff is friendly and goes out of their way to help in any way possible. The owners are always there and always VERY friendly. You can tell that they take great pride in their work and property. The gardens and pool deck area. Comfortable loungers, tables, chairs, beautiful flowers and plants, well-lit after dark, never crowded, Wi-Fi, perfect for reading or just chilling with your favorite drink. Pool and beach were both accessible and convenient. The parking is easy. The rooms are simply perfect: well decorated, they have all of the amenities that you need. I know there were other guests there but we felt like we had the place to ourselves. Quiet location. No noise from traffic, nightclubs, restaurants. During our stay, we never had noise of any kind from neighboring guests either. I have stayed with them 9 times and every year i go back to Aruba this is the ONLY place I want to stay. Thank you for making my trips to Aruba perfect. I couldn't ask for a better place to stay or all around amazing experience.

For 21 years we have been coming to Aruba, staying in the large hotels. This was a completely different experience. We felt at home immediately as did the other resort guests - a congenial experience. Intimate, bucolic, charming, hospitable, comfortable. Eve and JP, the owners, are simply delightful!! Jacky, housekeeping and Luis the night watchman were always friendly, attentive and accommodating. The sunsets were breathtaking. New Years at the beach with Eve, JP and the resort guests watching the fireworks, enjoying their company and welcoming the new year was a fabulous experience. 23 days/nights of relaxation, fabulous beaches, great company/service/surroundings in a homelike setting...what more could you want.

Gedurende 14 jaar huren we jaarlijks voor een aantal weken een appartement bij Sunset Aruba. We zijn daar altijd bijzonder tevreden over: een prima appartement, een vriendelijk en behulpzaam team, een fraaie tuin en natuurlijk iedere dag genieten van de zonsondergang.

I was welcomed by Eve and quickly made friends with the other guests. This location was quiet and the room was comfortable for me. Snorkeling gear was available for guests. I appreciated to local knowledge regarding swimming and snorkeling locations. They also suggested I rent a bicycle which worked well for me to see the island

I have stayed 3 times at the Sunset Beach Studios, I love the ocean view studios! Owners and staff are very nice people, they will help you in any way to have a prefect holiday. The location is fantastic, right on the coast and only a 10 min walk to the High Rise area. All the details inside the studios makes it special and makes you feel straight away at home!
