We cannot say enough about Aruba Sunset Beach Studios. This place is a treasure, and we feel so grateful to have chosen to stay here. Aruba Sunset Beach Studios is more than a destination or a place to lay your head at night. It is a feeling..one that you want to experience again and again. Beginning with the prompt, friendly and patient communication, we knew we found a treasure. Upon arrival, Eve and JP were there to greet us with a cold Balashi. We spent some time getting acquainted. When the grocery store had not delivered our meat for that evening, they gave us some burgers out of their freezer. This is above and beyond. The staff also decorated for my husband’s 60th birthday, which was so thoughtful! We stayed in Large Garden 1. It was very clean and spacious, with a large verandah and a walk in closet. The verandah has a cool ladder with clothes pins to hang your wet towels, etc. There is a safe and a full-size fridge. There was already ice made and a cold jug of water! (You absolutely can drink it straight from the tap!). Have I mentioned that it is the little things…? The kitchen has everything you need, including a blender, toaster, coffee pot, kettle, dishes, pots, pans, etc. There is a two burner element. We cooked our breakfasts and some suppers and ate on the verandah. There are two grills on the property. Very relaxing! The grounds are immaculate. The staff work hard to keep everything tidy and lush, cleaning falling leaves and watering foliage. They clean the room daily, except Sunday, I believe. I did the dishes after every meal, but if there was 1 thing in the sink, they washed it for you. We brought carry-on only, so we were grateful for the laundry service. For $15, your laundry was washed, dried and folded. The pool was refreshing. It is close to 5 ft at its deepest. The hot tub was lovely after the sun went down. It was the perfect temperature. There were plenty of pool towels that you were also allowed to take to the beach. The gazebo is a lovely covered area to sit in the shade, cooled by the breeze. The entire property is well manicured and feels like a private tropical paradise. The office staff are amazing. They will help with anything you need, and always with a smile. There are books to borrow, as well as games. There is snorkeling equipment to rent for a reasonable fee. There are many snorkeling spots within walking distance. Also, they have beach chairs for rent. We loved that they were the chairs that collapse into a carry bag. That was very helpful, as we had rented a motorcycle. There is plenty of parking, and we always felt safe. You could easily walk to Arashi Beach or the High Rise area. The bus, which runs until 6:30 most days, will take you to Arashi or the High Rise area for $2.60 per person per ride. A taxi into the High Rise for evening enjoyment was about $15. This gem of a place has everything. Amazing people who treat you like family from the moment they meet you, incredible staff who always greet you with a smile, the perfect location, and a gorgeous property. Eve and JP strive to provide a memorable vacation experience, and given the number of repeat guests, they are very successful at doing just that. We know we will be back because there is no feeling quite like the Aruba Sunset Beach Studios feeling!
