My husband found Sunset Beach Studios by accident on Aruba Rentals. After I looked at the pictures and description, I couldn't look at any other place. We had planned to spend our 25th anniversary in Aruba in July 2012. Sunset Beach Studios is perfect. If you are looking to be spoiled by a resort, this is not the place for you. However, if you are looking for a relaxing apartment close to everything and a friendly staff, this is your place. The staff treats you like family and are always smiling and helpful. They even printed our return boarding passes for us. Our studio was Ocean View 1. It was small (perfect for 2 adults) and comfy. The bed was actually 2 twins pushed together, but the frame was an interesting South American solid wood frame: very comfortable. The studio is clean and airy; it is cleaned everyday and you can get clean towels if you want or keep the same ones for several days. The grounds are neat and homey. The pool is clean; the hot tub is clean; there are 2 outdoor grills for cooking your own meals at the studio. We had a full sized refrigerator in our room. Our studio looked out onto the ocean, so I enjoyed my morning coffee and evening drink on the porch watching the catamarans sail by. The beach is not a sandy beach, but we snorkeled out to the shipwreck that sits about 100 yards out; you'll need some sort of water shoe to swim here. It was exciting snorkeling in our own front yard. Malmok Beach is a short walk down the coast or a walk along the ocean. This was the best place for snorkeling and it was within walking distance from our room. It offers a small sandy beach and easy access to the water. We rented a Jeep and drove ourselves everywhere easily. I definitely recommend spending extra on a 4-wheel drive so you can see all the sites that the island offers. I could go on and on. I loved Aruba Sunset Beach Studios and hope to visit again someday! PS The cats visit daily. If you like animals, buy some cat treats for the morning and evening visits!

This is my family's 4th time spending a week at Sunset Beach Studios and we had another fabulous time! Can't say enough about Eve, JP and staff - very accommodating. Loved the clean rooms, refreshing pool, cooking/dining out in the pool/patio area, feeding flowers to our "pet" iguanas, Al and Iggy. Nice remodeling done to the main house to make more individually rented studios - we stayed in the Large Ocean 1(liked the extra living room area) and Garden 1 studio, which were perfect for us. The snorkeling about a mile north of the studios (where you see all the booze cruise boats anchored) is the best on the island. The walk to the natural pool from the horse farm is something we always look forward to. Aruba is an island where you just rent a car and go - can stop and eat/drink anywhere without worry of getting sick. Ling & Sons is a well-stocked grocery store. Recommend the Sate platter at the Paddock down by the docks in Oranjestad. Also the restaurant at the end of the Raddisson Hotel's pier is great at sunset and loved the band! The new restaurant Flying Fishbone in Savaneta is well worth the drive - excellent food and who wouldn't want to end dinner with their toes in the ocean?!! Barrie W

The Sunset Beach Studios is a great place to stay with the friendly and helpful staff. It was our first vacation in Aruba and we had enjoyed it.The place was relaxed and quiet with all the beautiful beaches nearby, the room was clean and comfortable. And many thanks to Mrs. Eve for all the great advises and also to the staff.We love it, love you all, next time we will surely come back to the Sunset Beach Studios. Henna & Lucinei :)

My mom and I visited Aruba to attend a wedding and we stayed for a week for vacation. The accommodations at Sunset Beach were wonderful! The location is perfect. It's only 5 minutes by car from the strip of resorts/beaches/bars/shops/restaurants making it ideal when you want to be away from all the hoopla and touristy environment. The property is very attractive and the garden is lovely. We stayed in a garden view room and spent most of our time outside on the patio enjoying the beautiful Aruba weather. The pool is clean and ideal to cool off and the cabana seating area outdoors is inviting and attractive. We had a great time. Eve, Bianca and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would go back in a heartbeat!! Ewa and Dorota

My husband & I just spent our 11th anniversary at the Sunset Beach Studios.We have been to Aruba before. We wanted to find a place that was a little more personal. We booked & stayed in the large ocean view villa. It was absolutely fantastic! We spent every morning, eating bagels & drinking coffee, while watching the boats sail by. We took the jeep to the other side of the island almost everyday to explore. When we returned to the villa ( we rushed home, before the sun went down) we would throw something on the bbq & hurry back to our beautiful lanai, crack the bottle of wine & watch the sun set. Every day was just as wonderful as the day before. We love the Sunset Beach Studio's. After our 5 days in the studio, we then moved to the Holiday Inn for the second half of our trip. It was very busy, it was still nice, but not the same. We spent 3 times the money on food. After 2 days at the Holiday Inn (ocean front), all we wanted to do, was to return to our lanai, at our studio. I would recommend this vacation spot to anyone. In fact, I have been talking about it since we returned home. Also, we loved to pack our lunch & sit on a secluded beach on the other side of the island. It was to hot to keep food in the jeep, so the the Studio office let us take their cooler for the entire stay. We love that place. Not sure if I've said that yet... Can't wait to go back!

Fiance and I traveled to Aruba in May 2012 to attend the wedding of our friends. The wedding was planned to take place at Renaissance Hotel/Island. We specifically sought to find a location away from the Renaissance high-rise hysteria and wedding party drama. Now ... a week after our return and looking back on our stay with JP, Eve, Bianca, and Monique, we are extremely satisfied with Sunset Beach Studios. We stayed in Garden 8, a room off of the main complex. It was cozy and had everything a young couple would need. The rate was acceptable. The bed was firm, yet comfortable. The kitchen had the basics, the A/C worked very well and the bathroom/shower were 1st rate. The patio was a hit and was where we spent all meal time. On the single day we didn't go to the beach, we were content to spend a day at the pool: it is just the right size and refreshing. WiFi available under the palapa (a big umbrella made of palm tree leaves). The bus runs right in front of the studios and we found it to be sufficient for our needs. Indeed, we even traveled from airport to villa via bus. Not a problem. To get to the beach, one must walk (slowly) about 25 minutes to reach Arashi: the beach favored and frequented by locals. In the other direction are the high-rise beaches with everything the busy beach offers ... It is important to make a trip to the market to get the basics: coffee, cream, butter, eggs, bread, cheese, wine, meats and chocolate. Sunset Beach Studios are not: room-service on demand; bell-hop to get you ice; concierge to make your reservation at the spa! Bottom line - I highly recommend the Sunset Beach Studios if you want to get away and do the same thing you might normally do when at home on the weekend: make breakfast, decide what fun to have; go on your way...and when chilling at the studio meet a few other like-minded individuals - more than likely to be Dutch...

My wife and I always stay at Sunset. I've stayed at the Whyndam, and Hyatt in the past, but I always return to the Sunset. Aruba is our second home, and Monique was helpful when we were married in Aruba. When we visit Aruba we always stay at the Sunset (Ocean View Room).

My wife and I chose Aruba Sunset Beach Studios to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. It has been the perfect choice. Easy and quick communication, very well located (near from the beaches and the High rise hotels area), clean, comfortable and well maintained, nice view on the ocean from our terrace. The owners were very kind, they made the car rental arrangements for us and even bought for us grocery items prior to our arrival (the stores were closed for two days because of a national holiday. They quickly bought a new toaster when I told them that ours was broken. We strongly recommend this place and would go back anytime. Thanks again for everything. It has been perfect. Arrived home safe and sound. We had a great time. The place looks terrific and everyone was so nice and helpful. Getting waves right out front was a nice surprise. We'll try to be back in less than 10 years next time! Bob

I thoroughly loved this spot. I whisked a girl down to Aruba for our last weekend together before I moved west and this was the perfect place... Great location, just a few minutes from some beautiful beaches, close to the high and low rise hotel areas for when you want to go, but secluded enough that you dont feel in the middle of all the tourist stuff. The staff was amazingly friendly and all the other guests were great. Small, so you can actually meet some other people which is so nice. Rooms were clean, with plenty of room, and inviting. Our flight got cancelled on the way down and the staff at sunset beach studios took care of us, dealt with changing my car reservation (which they were happy to make in the first place as well!) and luckily found a way for us to stay an extra night in the same room even though they were totally booked - and waived our fee for missing our first night! All in all it was an amazing part of our perfect vacation. Definitely check this place out.

We've been recommending Sunset Beach Resort to everyone we have told about our recent trip to Aruba. The staff anticipated and satisfied our every need. Amazing hospitality and genuine personal interest were displayed by JP, Eve and their staff, as well as fellow guests. A small intimate group who most evenings enjoyed Happy Hour together, immediately included us. This type of friendliness could hardly be expected at larger, corporate lodgings. The location on the coastline, 1/2 way between the high rise hotels and the lighthouse, is near numerous beach accesses, snorkeling, and natural beauty as well as cosmo nightlife and shopping. We definitely found the right atmosphere for our preference; a perfect fit!! Rod successfully survived the bilateral double hip replacement surgery on January 30th. He is now slowly walking with a walker, crutches & canes around the ground level of our house. He just calls up peaceful memories of Aruba to relieve stress and pain during recovery. Sunset Studios was the perfect location for our get away. We loved being "off the beaten path," where it was quiet and peaceful. The staff was helpful, the pool and rooms clean, and the beach close.... We couldn't have asked for more!

Sunset Beach Studios is perfect for those looking to escape the more heavily populated, cookie-cutter resorts of Aruba. After a restful sleep on a comfortable queen-sized bed, you'll be ready to seize the day! But don't rush. There is something about Aruba (and the view from your private patio) that will make you want to stretch your morning coffee & "Aruba Today" paper routine.

We had a wonderful time staying at Sunset Beach Studios. We felt very well taken care of, everyone was extremely friendly, the grounds and rooms are very well taken care of, and would very highly recommend staying there. The atmosphere is wonderful. Next time in Aruba we will definitely stay there again!
