As a woman traveling alone I wanted a place I could feel safe. Not only did I feel safe, I felt welcomed by Eve, JP, and crew as well as other guests. Eve recommended Aruba Active Vacations for Kite Surfing lessons. It was a beautiful 5 minute walk from the villas (and they offered a discount because I was staying here). I couldn’t believe the location was also just a 5 minute walk from some of Aruba's best snorkeling spots! I “swam” with sea turtles and a sting ray and watched an octopus meandering about. As much as I loved kite surfing lessons, snorkeling, and the location, I really loved the relaxed, but alive culture at the villas. As one evening illustrates; a hot tub party was underway, vibrant local music and conversations in at least four languages merged, lifted by the trade winds around the courtyard filled the warm evening air. The hot tub, music, laughter languages, all following a day “adventuring” on the ocean, truly felt like a celebration of life! What a welcome to Aruba!
**everyone spoke English for my benefit, very humbling as I don’t speak another language.
